LSHS Marching Band to Perform in Rome! (Georgia, that is)

The LSHS Roaring Lion Marching Band will be participating in the 42nd Annual Peach State Marching Band Competition in Rome, Ga on Saturday, October 24.  This is the oldest continuously run marching competition in Georgia!


Since this will be a long day (see itinerary below), students will need money for both lunch and dinner (plus any for souvenirs, snacks, or message grams).  Tickets for spectators are $7 (kids 6 and under free).  If you would like to chaperone (we are limited to 6), please email lithiaspringsband@gmail.com.
 


Itinerary


8 am- Report to the LSHS band room, put on uniform, uniform inspection
8:15- Load buses
8:30- Depart LSHS
10:00- Arrive @ Barron Stadium in Rome (NOT Rome HS!), unload bus/trailer
10:45- Warm-up
11:30- Depart warm-up area
11:45- PERFORMANCE!
12:00- Return to buses/trailer, pack up, remove and hang uniform
12:30- Return to stadium, enjoy other bands, eat lunch
2:45- Break in performance schedule
3:00- Performances resume
4:15- Exhibition- Rome MS
4:25- Dinner Break
5:15- Performances resume
7:30- Break in performance schedule
7:40- Performances resume
9:40- Exhibition- Rome HS
10:00- Exhibition- JSU Marching Southerners
10:30- AWARDS
11:30- Depart Barron Stadium
1 am- Arrive LSHS

Band Performs Well at Legacy of Champions

The LSHS Marching Band performed at the inaugural Legacy of Champions marching band competition in Carrollton, Ga on Saturday, Oct 10.  They received scores of Excellent for drum major, color guard, percussion, and overall band.  They placed 3rd in Class A in all 4 categories. 

Now, the band will begin the process of preparing for the Peach State marching band competition in Rome, Ga on Saturday, Oct 24.
